Daily COVID-19 statistics for the Cayman Islands

 

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that 500 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Friday, 29 January 2021. Eight were positive. The individuals are travellers who tested positive following routine screening. One currently has symptoms of COVID-19 and the other seven are asymptomatic. They will remain in isolation until considered recovered. The total number of COVID-19 vaccines administered to date is 9,143, of which 1,545 represent an individual’s second dose. Read more

 

For symptomatic patients:
10 days after symptom onset, plus at least 3 additional days without symptoms (including without fever and without respiratory symptoms). Persons will then be retested and must obtain two negative tests 24 hours apart.
 
For asymptomatic cases:
10 days after positive test for COVID-19. Persons will be then be retested and must obtain two negative tests 24 hours apart.
